Each week, we have taken it upon ourselves to highlight one of our agents through our “Meet the American Dream Team” feature. Today, we invite you to learn more about Sue Ann Leighty and the contributions she has made to the community.
Name: Sue Ann Leighty
How long have you been in real estate: Nine years.
How long have you been with American Dream Realty? Nearly five years.
What do like most about working with American Dream? As a board member for the Salem County Chamber of Commerce, I am a huge promoter of ‘shop local’ and building relationships. American Dream is like a fine wine – it has been aged over 40 years through the merger of many successful agencies. This is not something you can create overnight. That is why we have achieved so many outstanding sales numbers! Although this is a competitive business, the agents, broker and support staff have helped me remain successful. I could not do what I do as the Executive Director for Habitat for Humanity without the support of the American Dream Team.
What do you like most about practicing real estate in South Jersey? Agents that know me through Habitat have recommended to their clients to donate properties using our ReStore and support us. They also have come out to help us on our home builds and ‘A Brush With Kindness’ program where we ave build over 20 accessible ramps throughout Salem County. Basically, the community is somewhat small, but I also find that many outside our office are supportive and genuinely care about the community.
What do you like to do in your spare time? I technically don’t have spare time. I am a volunteer at heart and find time to give back to the community. I have volunteered for Meals on Wheels for over 25 years, served on the Board of the YMCA for over seven years, enjoy being a Rotarian. I love my downtime with my family, which could be as simple as sitting on the deck watching my husband cook, or watching an awful move – just as long as I am with family.
Please check back next week for our next “Meet the American Dream Team” feature. Thank you!
